In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Warmth.”
Last week, during my visit to my home town, Tegal, Java, Indonesia, I went to the beach PAI (Pantai Alam Indah) with my kids. When they were playing with sands, I captured some pictures there. This one showing the warmth that sparks from the kids who were playing there. It is the warmth of joy.
Here is the other pics from the journey:
Today’s challenge, 2nd Monday of the month, is Macro.
Here is my interpretation of the theme, cactus view from top, close to my office.
It’s been a while since the last time I posted the challenges. Now I am back with three themes in one posting 🙂
The Black and White pic was taken when I was inside a train car heading home.
The washing car pic was taken from inside my car when someone was washing mine from outside. It was washed using machine and also manual 🙂
The travel pic was taken using Samsung Galaxy S4 using dramatic mode on, to capture motions from a moving object.
Hope you like it.
Being occupied by Hearthstone and working load at office made me miss the challenges. Now with this posting, I put all of the last three challenges here.
First, the Room challenge. I took this pantry room at Microsoft Singapore. Great for lunch at office 🙂
Compare your pantry room for lunch at office with it 🙂
Second challenge is Extra, Extra – share a photo that has a little something extra: an unexpected visitor, or a tranquil landscape with a splash of color. A lone carrot in a sea of peas. Draw us in with a humorous detail, or find a photo with an added element that makes it an image only you could capture.
I present you, a portrait of a woman. With an extra, a baby inside 🙂
The latest challenge is Between. The picture was taken today itself, during a family gathering among us at University of Indonesia, next to the lake. The picture showing a girl between her sisters.
The first Monday’s challenge in June is Nature.
Imagine you were walking on a mountain… 5 degree Celsius of temp. Not many people you see around you. Only plants, rock, and skies. It is always a great place for such a contemplation. Thinking about God, universe, and the life itself..
The last Monday of May 2014’s challenge was one of Abstraction, Animals, Architecture, Food Photography, Night Photography, Objects, Portraiture, Still Life, Street Photography, and Travel. I choose to share my lunch box that I brought from home to my office.
In the top left : shrimps. Top right : broccoli. Middle : soy sauce with chilies. Bottom left : brown rice. Bottom right : fried tofu.
Do you think it is healthy enough?
This week, share a photo of something that says “twist” to you. It might be that perfect ice cream cone, a yummy bit of liquorice, or something unexpected that surprised, shocked, or startled you.
For me, twist is a twist 🙂 One of its meaning is a form into a spiral shape.
The picture was taken inside an IMAX Theatre when I watched Godzilla several days ago. No, I didn’t record the movie nor taking the picture of the movie since it is forbidden. I just love the introductory welcome message when the movie is about to be played. It shows a spectacular animation how IMAX will make you believe. IMAX is believing.
Have you been twisted by IMAX?
Have you ever imagined to live like an ant? Imagine that you are an ant and living on a big tree. What would you see from your point of view?
There pictures are my contribution for the 2nd Monday of May for Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge – Macro (I know it was late because of my hectic days at office and playing Hearthstone at home :).
This week’s challenge is Nature, the first Monday of the month. I took those pics using iPhone during my camping vacation with my colleague, Dony Alpha.
We rode a folding bike from our home to train station, traveling around 100 km using train, and riding the bike around 20 km plus one public transportation to the beach and camping there. Total riding the bike was around 35 km. Not bad to burn some fat 🙂
