This first Monday challenge is Nature. This picture I took from my old man’s graveyard. His last journey has a beautiful view, a mount in Central Java, Indonesia, which he has climbed for about three times. The mount is called Gunung Slamet. Gunung means mount, and Slamet is a Javanese word, means safe. I took the picture using my S4 and edited a bit the saturation using Fotor.

That’s as beautiful a view as a person could hope for in the hereafter! 🙂

Thank you Jo.. the name of the mount is also his middle name 🙂
I miss him a lot. I wish I could travel back in time to say a proper goodbye / farewell before he left…

I’m sorry you can’t. Some day, maybe 🙂

Do you have any experience losing someone close to you?

My mum will have been dead now for 24 years in September. My son was just 7 months old and she was so happy that she had lived to hold him. I have tears in my eyes typing this. You cannot replace a parent. Dad is 86, and still going strong. 🙂

Thank you Jo for sharing this. Means a lot to me. My Mom is 60 now. Agree… we cannot replace our parents…
