A seashell or sea shell, also known simply as a shell, is a hard, protective outer layer created by an animal that lives in the sea. The shell is part of the body of the animal. Empty seashells are often found washed up on beaches by beachcombers. The shells are empty because the animal has died and the soft parts have been eaten by another animal or have rotted out or change a new home, perhaps?
Those shells are located inside my table in the living room as accessories. We see the beauty of the shape while realizing that living organisms has dwelt those solid shells for a period of time.
Just like our body, our shell of our soul, someday we will leave it, we don’t know when. Our skeleton will remain six feet under, our soft tissues will be gone, and our soul will return to The Creator.
Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.
Qur’an, Ali Imran:185.
