This week’s challenge is companionable. If you Google the definition of companion, you will get: A person or animal with whom one spends a lot of time or with whom one travels. I think the definition shouldn’t be limited in term of a person nor an animal. Someone, something that spends a lot of with or with whom one travels, could be someone or something that stays in your heart. From the day one you start living in this world, till the end of time. That is the true companion.
Someone says that you were born alone and you will die alone. But for those who belief, God is always be there as our companion. That’s why in my belief, whenever we do anything good, should be started by saying: bismillahirahmaanirrahiim – بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم – (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful). So yes, right after we wake up from sleep, entering and leaving the bathroom, taking a shower, eating, drinking, sleeping, making love, working, studying, leaving the house, on a vehicle, etc. there is special prayer for that, but if you don’t know, before the action just say bismillah and after doing that say Alhamdulillah (praise to Allah).
So Allah is my true companion.
Allah! There is no God save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous (Holy Qur’an 2:255).
